Charting a new course

Right - after my blog earlier, I've been checking out all the Spark reports and have figured that my average daily calories are around the 1880 mark - and on that, I've been maintaining a steady weight.

I can also see that when I've 'managed' to have a couple of low-calorie days, I then swing right up into the 2,000-3,000 range on a sort of mini-binge thing - so, I think I get 'hungry'.

So - I've re-set my Spark nutrition tracker to 1,550 - 1,850 calories a day. I'm going to stick to this and see if I can pull my average down to around 1800 - and see if that has any effect on my weight.

I'd like to add that I don't own a car, and I have a very physically active working day - on my feet and rushing about all the time (often carrying stuff and using a wide range of movements) so all that is factored in to a 'normal' day for me. Any other exercise is extra (I only track the intentional, extra exercise - although I do now track my fast walks to and from work)

    Cystal Queen: the Spark tracker tells me I need about the same as you, but I've edited it to my own setting. I'm just under 5'3". I'm experimenting with it at the moment - I might find that I start to put on weight if I continue to eat 1800 average...........we'll see!

    The tracker tells me I need 1200-1550 cals and I weigh a lot more than you. I am quite short, though so I guess that's where the difference is? Good luck getting to grips with the numbers though. Hope your part of the county isn't too badly damaged!
