The test for day 8 was a slice of bread but I already know that wheat is a problem for me, so I decided to test lentils instead. I had made a curried lentil soup last month and there was still a portion in the freezer.
This is the recipe I used:
Yesterday's lunch was a cup of the lentil soup and a side salad.
In the late afternoon DH fired up the grill and grilled his italian sausage and a batch of chicken breasts - lots of leftovers, so I'm all set for the coming week. I love having leftovers handy to add to salads and veggies. It takes being organized in order to be lazy LOL
Dinner was a vegetable stir fry with green leaf lettuce and a small piece of chicken. I had some red wine with it as well, which was nice for a change... it was Saturday evening after all :)
This morning my weight was the same and I realized it is that time of the month... hormones have the tendency to make me stall, so I am glad I didn't gain and I take it as a pass for the lentils.
