Today's Breakfast (13 Carbs)

it's not even 5:20am, and I already have my breakfast.

That's 2 extra large scrambled eggs with a slice of melted cheese and a few slices of deli turkey mixed in. I'm having key lime flavored Dannon greek yogurt & black coffee.

There are 9 grams of carbs in my yogurt, 2 grams of carbs in the deli meat, and 2 carbs in the slice of cheese. So I have a total of 13 carbs for breakfast.

Now that might seem like alot of carbs to some of you, but you have to remember I only eat 2 meals a day. Besides I grew up hearing how important breakfast was and how breakfast should really be your biggest meal, to get your day started off right.

This tasted yummy! Now it's time for my 2nd cup of coffee.

    That sounds yummy. My father-in-law has to eat low carb for his diabetes, and eats 20-30 carbs per meal.

    Looks like a pretty good breakfast. In your low carb meals do they allow for fruit? Fruit has a lot of fiber in it that prevents digestive issues.

    2 meals? I'd starve to death and die I'm sure! emoticon I'm one of the types that has to eat every couple hours or I don't feel very well. I don't eat a lot mind you. Even if I have a big breakfast, I'm hungry 2 hours later. This morning I had 3 ounces of leftover pork loin chop and 1/2 c of mashed cauliflower (an orange one with cream cheese and some cheddar).

    Your breakfast looks fine to me - and 13 grams carbs is minimal.

I don't eat my breakfast until about 11A (I get up about 6:30A) but I wait until about 11 because I usually walk between 10-11A and don't like to go out after eating - or drinking as my case is because I most always have a protein shake for my breakfast. I do often eat a small piece of cheese or meat though before I go out to walk.

Then as I usually eat twice a day as well, I will eat again about 3 or so and nothing more except a very light snack about 6:30 or 7.
