Just in time

Friday, February 07, 2014

Hubby and son made it out today and were able to get propane and grocery's. It was just in time as our last propane ran out. our gravel roads ( about 2 miles of twisty road) was ice coated, the main roads were clear. they told me it took about 45 minutes just to get to the main road. they slipped and slid down our gravel roads. and while they were out they got chains for the tires, and so made it home...yea!!!. Hubby hurt his back loading the propane tanks into the car ,he slipped and fell twice. So he is resting and taking it easy right now. I was very worried while they were gone, but thankfully they made it back o k .

So one problem solved,as we still have a week of very cold weather ahead of us, tomorrow they ,hubby and son, will try to solve our no water problem( pipes froze about 4 days ago). hopefully they will have a good out come like they did today.

What a trip that was for your hubby and son. And I hope your husband's back is feeling better today Carolyn.

Great to get these things done when you can, the weather is so unpredictable! We're to have it really cold for a while here too!

I am blessed to not have to get propane. It doesn't like to flow in this cold weather either.
