the boyfriend and I went to the gym last night and they were so packed we had to drive around the parking lot for 5 minutes before a spot opened up. We were waiting for this guy to back up and when he did this guy tried to swoop in and take it but luckily my boyfriend was able to get it. The guy ended up getting the parking spot next to us that happened to open up just as we were parking. These two guys get out of the car and I hear yelling starting to happen. I guess the guys who parked next to us stole a parking spot this other guy was waiting for and it caused a huge commotion. They started yelling saying they were going to mess each other up and calling each other the N word so many times I lost count after the first 15. The guys went in and the guy who lost his spot sped off looking for parking... which he finally did and went inside the gym looking for the guys who stole his spot. He found them and told them to meet him outside so they could settle it. It's just a parking spot for goodness sakes! It certainly didn't warrant a fight nor did it warrant a huge yelling match!
Most of the machines at the gym were taken but I lucked out and got a stationary bike and did just over 3 miles in 10 minutes. I hopped on the arc trainer for 15 minutes for just under a mile. After that I looked for a treadmill but couldn't find any available so I started to do my strength training with the free weight machines for 20 minutes. Afterwards we left the gym and went to Ross and walked around there for an hour looking at stuff. My boyfriend got a new hat and a batman coffee cup, I got a new belt (size 1x!), a vegetable peeler, a 3 piece splatter screens for when I cook in my skillets, and a handy first aid kit that we're going to put in the car.
Yesterday I burned over 700 calories and did over 10,000 steps for almost 5 miles :) I'm so proud of myself that I'm slowly able to increase my workout times and my intensity. I weighed in today because yesterday I was finally able to relieve my constipation and I'm 194.0! My stomach had been hurting really badly so I went for a walk and had some coffee and that did the trick to help my stomach issues.
Today I'm going to reward my body with a less intense workout by doing a 1 hour long walk and perhaps a 30 minute workout in my room but haven't decided, it all depends on how my body is feeling and right now it's feeling very tired and sore.
