Yesterday started off with an awesome workout at the Y. 30 minutes of upper and lower body strength training. 40 minutes of intervals on the TM (3.03 miles), 30 minutes of resistance intervals (level 4 & 7) on the upright cycle (7 miles) all followed by 36 lengths of the pool, I swam 900yds or a little over a 1/2 mile, it took somewhere around 40 minutes to complete. I was more focused on getting the 36 in than how long it took.
Next came the hard part. I have my food tracker set up so it is based on my calories burned each day. My base is 1200-1550 but yesterday I needed to eat 2,314-2,664 calories to meet my body's needs. I have started trying to eat as clean as I can most of the time which makes hitting higher calorie ranges very difficult. And if it wouldn't of been for my BF bringing dinner home last night I would have not even broke the 2,000 calorie mark.
Speaking of the BF bringing home dinner last night, he did good. Well as good as you can for Taco Bell. Him bringing food home all started because I woke up the other night to make him dinner. Usually I try to stay awake, sacrificing my sleep, because my body still wants to get up before 6am and he doesn't get home until midnight, and I don't get to bed until 1. But I was exhausted and went to bed at 8 and set my alarm for 11:30 so I could get up and start his dinner. When he realized that I woke up just to make his dinner he was upset with me. He said he appreciated the gesture but I was never to wake up just to make him dinner again. So that is where the Taco Bell comes in last night. He brought me home an Chicken Cantina bowl, he figured he was safe with that one. And as always he asks me if I want a taco, and as always I say no thank you. And he then pushes the tacos until I eat one. Last night when I said no thank you, that was the end of it.
I would have preferred not to have eaten that late at night, but I knew I had a lot of extra calories. I will have to work on him with that one next, not bringing me food home at midnight to eat.
Today me exercise is going to be pretty easy, 60 minutes on the elliptical and core exercises. Since there is no way I am going to be able to do much more than that. My body is screaming this morning.
