"Would You Rather" game

Friday, February 07, 2014

I could blame the cold
I could blame my higher blood glucose levels
I could blame....
Placing blame is not productive. Determining what is going on and then doing something about it is the road I need to take. There is always something that I CAN do.
Being overwhelmed lately and not taking action just makes things more difficult.
Having a sick child doesn't excuse me from making healthy food choices, getting in my exercise and mediation. Nor does it get my taxes done. LOL

So my advice to myself:
"SUCK it up Sweetheart."

Do what I have to do, I will survive. I will get through this. Besides many wonderful changes have been taking place. My non-scale victory... I have been making great choices at the market. The sweets and carbs that have been calling my name are losing their allure. I haven't needed to play the "Would You Rather" game as much.
Example:
Would you rather have a carb laden pastry or luscious fresh strawberries?
Would you rather stretch for 23 minutes and feel good or just sit there all stiff?

The "Would You Rather" game has been most helpful in helping to keep me aligned with my goal of a healthy lifestyle.

  You're a Great Mom.
To avoid feeling overwhemed Break down your tasks into smaller parts & do each chore 1 at a time. Hopefully they will get done soon. emoticon

Call it what it is friend, not blame but making excuses.

Just stop it! emoticon

I've been playing the blame game as well. We've had ANOTHER ice storm and been housebound AGAIN. Today's the day I put the pity party behind me and get moving!

Don't be afraid to alter the 28-day if your glucose readings continue high? Rough sounding week, love your attitude about finding what will work and making the decisions a game.

There are times like these, but they pass. Stay well and take care.
