January Update

January is over and February has begun. I will be 46 this month; kind of depressed me. I'm almost 50; yea I know thats not really old.
I just think of my dad and his health he is 69 and can barely feed himself. We have been his caregivers for almost 6 years and the ten years prior to that he was in and out of the hospital. I dont want to be like that; dependant on others for everything.
Been doing pretty good with my eating (not having money to buy much kind of helps with that). Exercise is taking a bit longer to get going. But I have started; that at least is something. Hubby and I are taking walks together. Tomorrow I will start with the bike riding and I start seeing my trainer again next week.
I have lost 10 pounds this past month; so I guess that the eating right has gotten off to a good start. Still not sleeping well; but the PNP is putting me on something to help me get better sleep. I've also been told to give up coffee; well caffeine. Funny thing about that is as I'm studying to become a mormon
I will continue on my journey to a healthier lifestyle. The amazing thing is that the more I study to be a mormon easier it has been for me to become more focused. I need figure out my goals for this month.

    You are doing a fantastic job! I have found that if I am in the kitchen waiting on the microwave or the oven, or waiting for a pot to boil, ect, I walk in place or dance around.I look silly sometimes, but I have fun lol. I get at least 15 - 20 minutes a day of exercise like this! It will add up :) Keep up the good work! BTW, I am 47. Do not let that number get to you. Own your age proudly. The way I see it, that is one more year I made it!!

    The walking with your husband sounds like a fun way to exercise and get alone time too. 10 pounds is something to be proud of!

    Turning 50 is painless. I have enjoyed my 50's very much (I'll be 60 before
    your 50 and I feel like it's still a long ways away.)
