Feeling a little bit better today and not as tired. I woke up at 6:45am to get my boyfriend's lunch together and I was unable to fall back asleep so I did most of my sparkpeople stuff while drinking a cup of coffee. I'm not as tired as I was yesterday which definitely is good because I hate trying to function when I'm tired. I think the late nights and being sick caught up to me but the tiredness is subsiding.
I was able to catch up on a couple of my shows such as Pretty Little Liars, Switched at Birth, Marvels: Agents of Shield, Dance Moms, and The Biggest Loser. Now I just need to catch up on Revolution and a few others and I'll be all caught up. I hate getting behind on a show! I'm getting ready for The Walking Dead which starts up again on Sunday!
I went for a walk today and was able to shave off 5 whole minutes on my route that usually takes me an hour to do. I walked over 6,000 steps and exactly 3 miles in 55 minutes :) I'm proud of myself that I'm able to get in those steps and keep improving on my overall fitness. I can feel that I'm getting stronger. Tonight is gym night so the boyfriend and I will be going to Planet Fitness for an hour or so. I'll be doing treadmill, arc trainer, stationary bike, and free weights.
It's finally starting to rain a little bit here in California! It is very needed and it's exciting to see rain puddles on the ground as I went for my walk. We are still in drought conditions but every little bit of rain helps and I hope we can keep getting some more rain our way. It hasn't felt like winter here really but finally it's starting to catch up. Perhaps we will have a late rain season but all I know is the rain better stay for awhile otherwise we'll be facing a harsh summer.
Tonight I'm preparing a salad for dinner with radishes, tomatoes, cucumbers, hard boiled egg whites, iceberg salad mix, salad dressing, and maybe some cut up lunch meat to get some more protein. I love a big salad for dinner sometimes because it's so yummy and usually fills me up.
My boyfriend has physical therapy for his ankle today and I'm starting to wonder if his ankle is ever going to improve. He injured his ankle on the job about 8 months ago and the worker's comp doctor told him is tendonosis and took him off of work for 2 whole days. His ankle is constantly in pain often times rendering him unable to walk without a cane and limping. Worker's comp authorized about 15 physical therapy sessions and it's pretty bad when even the PT and her receptionist are wondering why on earth he wasn't taken off work to allow the ankle to heal. He's had x-rays, and MRI, and saw a foot specialist and none can figure out why he's in so much pain and can't walk sometimes. There's good days and then there's bad days. If he sits for 20 minutes and tries to stand he can't but then there are days where he's perfectly fine and can walk. If the physical therapy doesn't help worker's comp is going to refer him to a podiatrist. I hope something gets figure out because it sucks watching him in pain when there is nothing I can do to help. I rub his feet and do his foot exercises but it doesn't help :(
I almost forgot to mention the good news! I'm 195.2 pounds now :) I'm gettin' there.
