Well looking at my last blog post, I realize it been more than a month since I blogged. I started off strong - for a little over a week, I was tracking my food and exercise. The SP Activity Tracker is certainly helping motivate me there, even if the counts are quite right. For some reason, almost every walk I do gets classified as a cycle event, so I have to reclassify, but its still motivating me. I've only forgot to put it on once since I got it.
I was doing great in at least signing into SP each day and spinning the wheel. Think I did that for the first 25 days of the year. Then I missed a day. But I've managed to get back to 11 days in a row now.
So on Monday, I finally got together with a new Hawaii SPer HUYANA_PHOENIX. It was raining out, so we went to the mall and walked for over an hour. It was great! We went when I got off work, and I know that if I hadn't had that commitment, I would have gone home, eaten dinner in front of the tv and not done any exercise! Yea!!! Hopefully we'll get together and do more things together to keep each other going. And hopefully soon we'll meet up with another HAwaii SPer, HEALTHYSLIM2 and do some Zumba!
I ran into a friend from the Zumba class I usually go to. For health and injury reasons, she's taking a break from Zumba and has found a yoga studio that she really likes. They have classes everyday and throughout the day. That's a big plus for someone like me who has a constantly changing schedule. She said she never really like yoga, but raved about her instructor. Its a donation based studio and you just drop in. So I've already checked out the schedule and think I'll try a class or two Monday/Tuesday.
I leave for a mainland trip in less than a week. I have several days off before my trip, which is good because I have a lot to do around the house, and to get packed up. I'll be in AZ for a cousin's wedding, and then South Texas for an airshow. Hopefully I'll remember to wear my tracker throughout so I can see how much I'm doing.
