Mixed Blessing?

So, my bronchitis is cleared up. The steroid inhaler & eating maintenance calories helped. However, a couple nights ago I suddenly had unexplained pain in my stomach. I ended up going to the ER because it hurt so badly. The ER doctors had no idea what was wrong with me, but said I was dehydrated and my potassium levels were low. I found that particularly odd since I had 14 cups of water that day, and had been going out of my way to eat more things with potassium after reading that potassium can help prevent water retention weight. Now I'm wondering if I'm absorbing all my nutrients properly because the surgery I had can cause problems with nutrient absorption. Additionally, my stomach still hurts every time I eat or drink. This has led to me struggling to get up to 1200 calories a day because the pain is obviously a deterrent to eating. However, this awful, unexplained health problem has apparently broken my plateau. I'm not sure how to feel about all this, but I'll be seeing my doctor next week and hopefully can figure out what the problem is.

It definitely sounds like you need to see a doctor...a different one, if the one you're seeing isn't helping to address your issues. I'm sorry you've been having such a rough time. I'm not really sure what kind of surgery you had...but I hope your doctors can get you some answers, soon!

Ok, I saw now on your SP page what kind of surgery you had. I can see how that might cause issues with nutrient absorption...
