Day 31 of exercise in 2014 (not a streak)
Walking: 2 mph (30 minutes per mile) 30 minutes 149 calories burned

We have ice here. I heard 3/10 of an inch. I went outside to shovel off the basement steps where it had thawed and heard a noise that sounded like beads spilling on the floor. It was a limb falling and hitting the other ice-covered limbs.

I did 30 minutes of walking today to make up for not exercising yesterday. My thighs are thumping.

My husband called off work today. His boss said it was wet where he works, but I don't know if they had ice.

A town right up the road from us lost power. We didn't.

My husband wanted to get his truck worked on. The gas gauge quit working and the check engine light came on. He went out to the garage and they lost their power. They called him when it came back on and his truck is there being repaired.

My son went to work a little later than normal and he and my husband cleaned our walks around 7 AM. The walkways re-iced, but the ice wasn't as thick and could be broken with a shovel.

I am grateful to God that all went well here during the storm. I heard that they reduced the speed on the interstate from 65 to 45 during the storm. I haven't confirmed that information.

I saw this on Facebook and it made me laugh. This is a book by a 12-year old on "How to Understand Women." It is very revealing!

That boy has a good sense of humour. I wish this winter would end. It's dragging on and people are really suffering. We have another storm heading our way tonight. I walked yesterday and the day before and my whole body was aching. My flexibility goes completely.

    That IS funny!

I'm glad we only had to deal with snow - not ice. And I think we're supposed to have clear weather for a couple of days. I don't want to shovel again for a while!

I am glad that all went well for you during the storm too. That's so funny that a 12 year old thinks he understands a woman well enough to write a book, but maybe he does as well as anyone else - lol. Have a great day. emoticon
