a new look at old problems

Wednesday, February 05, 2014

I know that one of the major keys to my success is getting to bed at an early hour. I seem to fight this all the time, so I am taking a new look at an old problem.
I need help from fellow Sparkers - I want to reward myself for climbing the stairs to my bedroom by 9PM. Of course the reward that came to my mind was dark chocolate. This is not the best idea for a diabetic. So I am asking for your help. What ideas do you have for a quick instant reward that I can give myself for heading to bed by 9?

How about a nice soak in some bubble bath?

Your effort is worth a reward. Do you want a nightly immediate reward or a longer term reward? What would you enjoy most? A book, DVD, CD, a SP Tracker, fees paid for a class, a smaller item of clothing, a magazine subscription, an app, a new spice for your cabinet, a hair style, manicure or just Go to Amazon and let your mind wander.

Pamper yourself nightly with some nice hand or foot lotion which will work its magic while you sleep. emoticon

I agree with LISAGONNADOIT...put a few dollars away each time you reach your goal and treat yourself ...manicure, massage, new hair style, concert, play

Reward yourself with $!.00 and save for something special. Put it in a jar so you see it.

Reward yourself with a cup of sugar free hot cocoa or sugar free chocolate mousse from Jello.

Print out a calendar and give yourself a gold star every day that you succeed and once you get a week in a row, reward yourself with something special.

I can relate, I am a night owl but I feel so much better and take care of myself better when I go to bed early and get up early.

I believe in you. You CAN do it!
