Yesterday was a run day and while I had every intention of doing it, I just wasn't feeling it. My right ankle was tender and I just felt blah. And I really didn't want to run on the treadmill so I thought I would go for a run later in the afternoon. I know that if I don't get it in first thing in the morning, I'm not going to get it in. But I was just trying to fit too much in yesterday morning.
I didn't miss out on a workout, I chose to do 30 minutes on the elliptical at resistance level 4 and 30 minutes on the recumbent at resistance level 10. For a combined total of 9.8 miles, too bad they don't count towards my monthly miles. I also did 30 minutes of upper body and core exercises. I did this while I was doing laundry, that could be part of the reason while I was feeling blah and didn't feel like getting my run in. I also got my Sping into Shape Bootcamp video in and the one I missed from the day before, oops.
I also had a bad day eating...I did really well up to lunch then it went down hill from there. I finished off the fruit custard tart and over half a container of ice cream. I was just starving...then I checked my calendar and it's that day. Two weeks to the day before I start I always get the worst case of the munchies and nothing I eat or drink helps get rid of it. And it happens every single month. So I know better than to try and fit it. But the next day I always feel bloated and miserable. I am glad it's only one day. One the upside, after my little food orgy I only drank ice water the rest of the night, and was done eating by 7pm.
This morning I am off to a good start with Chobani blueberry greek yogurt topped with chia seeds and a slice of whole grain bread. And as long as I set the alarm on my phone for every 3 hours so I remember to eat, I should be good for the rest of the day.
I have a doctor appt and if I have time before my BF has to leave for work, I might even get to go to the Y. Having only one vehicle down here sucks, but I am stalling on flying back to MI to get mine since they keep getting hit my snow storms.
I should get motivated and get my butt ready for my appt, it's a good thing it is only across the road so I don't have far to go. I'm not even driving, I am going to walk over there.
