Warming the world two hands at a time.

I am on a mission to keep the small fingers at Stoddard Elementary School warm, and I see the fruit of my labor every single outdoor recess. Yesterday one of my small friends came over to talk with me. She had her hands in her pockets, and the biggest smile on her face. I love talking with my friend, and she knows it. I asked her if she knew that I had made a pair of mittens especially for her to borrow whenever she forgot her mittens at home. She replied, “No, I didn’t know that.” I sent her into the school, and soon she ran out the door with the yellow rubber ducky mittens on. She did not come back over to talk with me, she headed straight for her friends on the playground. I don’t blame her at all.
Yes, I am a mitten maker. I love seeing children play in the snow without thought of cold fingers. No one has fun in the snow when they are cold. Waterproof, lined mittens with beautiful designs keep kids happy and comfortable outside on the playground. That is how I am warming the world two small hands at a time.
I have no mitten photos right now.
All mittens are in use at the school. Since this is a snow day, I will make another pair of mittens, and post them later.
Let it wnow!
