Update on exercise and other things...

It's been a while since I've blogged. I couldn't keep up with my exercise plan as I had last written. I felt bad because of this and had to step back. The program was a post heart bypass walking plan and I couldn't do it! emoticon
I didn't stop though. I cut back on the number of minutes walking and the number of times a day and am doing well since then.
I've only taken rest days on Sundays. Now I can walk 20 minutes continuously (even if it is a very slow walk) three days a week, and I do Leslie Sansone indoor walking 1 mile video 3 days a week. If the weather permits (and it really hasn't) I walk outdoors.
emoticon I'm doing the Coach Nicole's arm and shoulder emoticon video twice a week and her Core Abs emoticon video twice a week. Last night I was curious to see if I could ride the stationary bike emoticon (the last time I could only do 4.5 minutes). I put on a Biggest Losers video and rode - - for 12 minutes!!! I was ready to stop but it was without too much stress....I'm happy! I don't know if I should continue in the evenings with the bike, as I do the walking in the mornings. I don't want to do too much because I'll then have to step back again and I'd rather progress slowly than have to go back. But I have so much more energy now! It's a great feeling!!!

The weight loss and eating well is going very well. emoticon I got below 300 pounds as of yesterday. Surprisingly, I have no problem with eating well and not eating junk. I have no desire for sugar and I was really a sugar and chocolate addict! I enjoy trying new foods now. Sunday, I made the Breakfast Lentil recipe that I saw here on SP and it was very good. I ate it as my afternoon snack. Low calories and fiber and with the apple it was sweet. I want to try the chickpea and lentil veggie burger recipe next.
