Tracker Addiction

Tuesday, February 04, 2014

This morning when I opened the door and put the little dog out she scooted around and then wanted back in very quickly. Then I opened the door to let the big fellow out and he looked out and turned around and went back to his bed. I do not understand but he went from 7 last night till noon today without going out. I wish my bladder was that good. So then I asked hubby to look up the temperature (one of his few jobs in life is to know what the temperature is) and he said -27 C. So I decided sadly that would mean no walk as we need to drive to where we walk and then the temperature is just too awful. After lunch again I asked the temperature and it was -15 C. Hmmmm! We can start the car at that temp. and with lots of warm clothes we can take a walk maybe. It really hurt to think that I would not even make it to 9000 steps if I stayed in. So off I went with about 20 lbs of clothes on. Layer after layer and my mp3 player under 3 layers on my head. It was a good program I had recorded about a young lady who went to South Africa in the '50s to study giraffe. She was appalled with the politics of the times and when she left Nelson Mandela was on trial and we all know how that ended. The world sure has seen some different results since then. There may be hope for us all yet. But in the meantime I again recorded a lot of steps on my tracker and I can breathe easy because of it. This darn cold weather needs to go south! Ha ha!!!

Hey, your cold weather IS heading south and I live in it's path. Actually, this time we are off to one side of the really cold stuff. Usually we are right in the middle of it!

I do hope we ALL warm up soon.
