Ice Ice Baby

Tuesday, February 04, 2014

We got less than 3" of snow from the storm on Monday. My husband said there was no snow where he works. Tonight, an ice storm is predicted and more snow on Sunday. I am hoping hubby won't have to go to work tomorrow and drive in icy conditions.

I am going to try to do my laundry in case we lose power. I cooked stuff in the crock pot today and we have stuff for sandwiches.

It is supposed to be over by 9 or 10 AM, but the temperatures are too cold for a quick melt.

1/4 -1/2" of ice accumulation was just announced on our local weather forecast.

I pray our power stays on, but with ice and the weight of it, it can bring down tree limbs, power lines, cause wrecks and pile-ups. I will sit in my house where it is warm and hope for the best.

I have heard about ice storms very dangerous things. I pray you are safe and your family.the wind is howling outside here but no snow. This is the wettest January and February on record. I walk very slow and I keep going but when I stop then I know about it. Tomorrow I will ache all over. Make sure you keep safe and I pray you won't lose power.

The worst of the system passed douth of us. Roads were still yucky when I drove my son to work, and I got in late - but I don't have my class assignment yet, so it didn't matter. Seems to be letting up, at least for a time. Keep warm and safe ! emoticon

I am tired of this weather already! Gotta get up at 4:30 am to decide if the school is opening on time, late, or not at all. Ugh!
