God has a purpose for everything!

Tuesday, February 04, 2014

It was super super hot today! I was deciding whether or not I should go for my walk. I initially decided on exercising indoors today with a workout DVD but my Dad was on holiday and was parked in front of the TV so I had no choice but to head outside for my exercise.

I laced up my shoes close to twilight. During my walk, I passed by a neighbor's house. Immediately, their persian mix cat walked up to me an miaowed. There was something about that sound that made me take notice, like he was hungry, very hungry. Actually, I noticed that he looked unkempt, like he hasn't had a shower for a few days or a week, and that was a few days ago. Then I had a look at their yard, no car! Then I realized that the entire family wasn't home.

Their laundry was hanging there too! Which means, when they left, they left in a hurry! I certainly hope that no one is sick or dying or anything of that sort! But what caught my heart was their hungry pets! One hungry cat, several hungry quail and some hungry carp fish!

I immediately started feeding the fish with the pellets they left by the pond (they left the gate to the yard unlocked, fortunately), then I saw another neighbor (I don't have any cats, so I have no cat food) walking by and asked him if he knew where the family had gone. He immediately offered to bring some cat and bird food! (pellets, I don't keep birds either but he does).

I can't help but feel that God intentionally told me to go for my walk, late as it was, so that these animals could eat after I don't know how many days! This shows that God cares for everything! Even animals! Even though I didn't have food for them, I helped get food for them by alerting another neighbor who had food for them, otherwise, they would starve for I don't know how long!

I didn't get much exercise, I waited till he came by with food for the hungry birds and cat! I'm glad that God used me to provided food for these hungry stomachs!

Man & woman are stewards over the animals and the less fortunate. Strange how some things happen, it seems you were led by God right to those in need. You're a caring person. I know you felt peaceful when you went to bed that night, knowing that you helped those in need.

Yes, God does love His entire creation. I look forward to my time in Heaven's Garden of Eden where I believe we and the animals will all meet someday and the lion will lie down with the lamb.
