Okay, I've lived in Texas for 10 years.
I've seen the DFW area, Austin, and San Antonio. Not much to show for 10 years.
Of course, I've been blessed beyond measure to have gone to Israel 3 years ago, and have been back to CA 3x; the last time 2 years ago to see my best friend married.

I determined that if I get money back in taxes, I want to take a trip to Corpus Christi. (If you've been there, would love to hear your thoughts!) I plan to rent a car and drive down, spend 2 days and drive back. I would like to spend 3 days, but am uncertain as to the finances.

Yesterday we had a major blessing. My roommate (who is unable to work due to high anxiety and other issues) was told yesterday that they are going to double her disability income. This means that she'll finally be able to pay her share of the rent and utilities!!!! Praise God! And, this information came right on top of my best friend calling and telling me to claim God's promises for my own.

So, I'm taking 4-5 days off of work (I have vacation time), and we're going to Corpus this Spring. I hope to be able to leave the day after Easter. (Before it gets too hot and after Spring Break.)

This has inspired me to be more vigilant in my weight loss efforts. It would be nice to be able to wear shorts on the beach.

My life journey is so much easier when I let GOD be an active member of my team.
Loved hearing your "GOOD" news.
Your trip sounds like a perfect reward ... Keep up the good work.

Good for you, Mary. The break will be so good for both of you.
That is good news about her disability income.
