THE COURAGE TO LEAD
Many of us don’t really believe we can be leaders. We either don’t know we are already leading or we don’t believe we are leading as God has called us to lead. However, everyone has people in their lives who follow what they do. Everyone has people who watch them or mimic them because they look up to them. We are all leaders in some form or fashion. Being a godly leader requires we focus on being obedient to Him and we have courage to do what He calls us to do no matter what.
1 Corinthians 11:1 “And you should imitate me, just as I imitate Christ.” (NLT)
Dear Lord, we thank You for the leadership opportunities You give us. We know there are people who see us as an example and we pray You will give us the strength and courage to be the godly example You have called us to be. Despite whether or not we think we are leaders, there are people who look up to us and want to follow us for whatever reason. Give us the courage we need to lead these people only to You in all things we do. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Others look to us to be a strong and courageous example to them especially in their time of need.
Being a courageous godly leader takes practice in following God and doing His will.
Others watch what we do and some depend on us to teach them what is right.
Knowing God personally will help us to know how to be a leader for Him.
God gives us the courage to lead in difficult situations when we go to Him for that courage.
Joshua 1:6 ““Be strong and courageous, for you are the one who will lead these people to possess all the land I swore to their ancestors I would give them.” (NLT)
