My vent for today

Ok all you people complaining about cold and snow, IT'S WINTER! If you live in the Northeast, mid atlantic and parts of central US, YES it's cold, YES it will snow. You people have skated by on hardly any cold or snow for a few years so GET OVER IT OR MOVE! I am really getting tired of listening to people bitch about all the cold and snow that live in the areas where it DOES GET COLD AND SNOW! GEEZE people! And in a few months all you same people will be bitching about it being "hot".
For the record, I grew up in Central NY, in Utica and I now live in the rural boonie mountains of Eastern New Hampshire so I know what it's like to live with snow and cold, it's a fact of life.
Vent over

Had a small workout this morning but apparently it's been too long since I did some of the exercises because after 2 hours, I feel my back and shoulders hurt a little but that is a good ache, that means I did something good!
Also got at least 8 hours sleep last night and right now I feel like taking a nap. I feel drained, 7 hours is what works for me. I wonder why SparkPeople harps on 8 hours!

    Vent away (I do a bit of that myself, and that also includes the weather) - I do get worried about people who can't just simply up and move ....... seniors, very ill folks, those dealing with economic issues, as an example........ keep in mind that this winter has been much harsher than average........just sayin'......

    It's a bonding thing. It helps us through the grind of weather. We stay because we love it here most of the time. However, snow birds may have the right formula and as soon as my niece is out of high school I will escape for a couple of months. So let's us vent too Robin don't be cranky! emoticon

  I think they promote 8 hours because some medical studies show that under 7 hours of sleep may increase the body's stress response which may lead to individuals adding weight and/or limits your ability to lose weight and other studies indicate that optimal sleep of 8 hours helps your body to work optimally (better metabolism, immune response, etc).

But - you know your body and what works for you. It's not a requirement. If it helps, I changed that goal from 8 hours to 7 hours because I can get 7-7.5 regularly. But 8 hours seems to stretch the time continuum for me and I felt bad about never hitting that goal, so it became a daily negative.

    Ah, Robin...complaining about the weather is like a national past time or something.....what else would we have to talk about as we meet up with acquaintances that we don't really have anything else to talk about with. Work and weather are much safer than religion and politics, ha ha.
Bob actually, at some point during a long muggy spell last summer, was complaining about the heat and said he'd never complain about winter again...I have this on video on my phone. Now when he starts complaining about the cold (and I admit I'm getting tired of it myself, but complaining won't change it) I pull out my phone and replay it for him.
I seem to run best on 6-7 hours of uninterupted sleep a night. if it's heavily interupted, i feel awful. If i sleep 8 or more hours...i feel like I didn't sleep and everything hurts. I think 8 hrs is just an average and depends on a lot of things like age, health, etc.

    When I wake up naturally I get I think they drink that much to keep full We need water how much different for each person
