A disaster of a January

Monday, February 03, 2014

Okay not trying to make excuses, but January because of all the frigid weather I felt worse then ever and didn't get to do my walks in the mall and it made a huge difference. The debilitating pain just had me walking around in my living room and lets face it that's not like me walking at the mall, so I already know I won't be hitting the 50 lb mark by my 50th birthday... which I"m fine with because I know I've really had no control over it, when you live with fibro you have to go with what you can do and so I'm hoping the weather is a little more decent in February.
I didn't always do my best with eating in January either, I found that when I was going to the mall my appetite was a lot smaller and I craved healthier foods. It's not like I went out and ate a lot of crap but I did indulge more and I have to stop doing that , I'm back on my morning shakes which I had stopped for a while and realized those shakes really did help me.
I'm more determined in February and hopefully this will be a better month for me!

At least the Polar Vortex has moved through and the temps aren't as bitter cold. I am hoping that once we get past this week of "unsettled" weather, things will improve. Of course, the bad news ? Punxatany Phil said six more weeks of winter. At the rate we've been going, I believe it.

Think of it this way, the equipment trucks leave for Fort Myers on February 8th ! That means spring (Training) is closer than you think.

Hang in there !

I know what you mean. I can't walk outside because of all the snow and ice and bitter cold here in MN since the beginning of Dec. at least! It's truly been one of the worst Winters for a long time, people are saying. Ugh. And who wants to start their car at 20-30 below just to go 25 miles to the closest mall to walk?! Not I, said the little red hen! emoticon So I've tried to walk in the house when I feel up to it, otherwise I pedal on my recumbent bike for as much as I can do in a day. I lost 4# in January, but now it seems with being bloated, I've gained it back, but I know that I can lose it again and I know that one day I'll be able to walk outside again on our country road. I love to and I miss that so much!! Oh, to one day live in a warmer climate! Everyone around here is so sick of Winter!! Let's just keep moving as much as we can, wherever! emoticon
