Day #8: PaleoCon (George Bryant: eating disorders, Ameer Rosic: healing, Josh Newman, Paul Jaminet)

Monday, February 03, 2014

G'Morning, SPARKlers!

Let's get to it, and if you're watching at all, tell me what you think!

May today and every day bring to you a ridiculous abundance of whatever you need. May you find peace within and all around you. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith and desire... a desire which even itself issues from God. May all your concerns, struggles, anxieties and fears fall like ashes as you rise on eagle's wings, SOARING above all that would hinder you along this tremendous adventure of being and becoming all you are created to be. May you answer your call and use those gifts that you have received to pass on the love that has been given to you. May the presence of God settle into your bones and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love beyond your wildest imagination. May you be overwhelmed by the grace of God as it simply "overtakes" you moment by moment... rather than being overwhelmed by the cares of life!

Listen to the following talks HERE:
(each set of talks is available for 24 hours)

George Bryant

(such AMAZING recipes)
Overcoming Adversity, Physical Disabilities, and Eating Disorders
♦ How to deal with bulimia, orthorexia, and eating disorders
♦ How to handle unsupportive family and destructive relationships in your transition to Paleo, and more
♦ How to overcome a victim mentality

From what I can see, this talk can apply to anyone, no matter what nutrition plan they are choosing to follow:

"George is well-known in the paleo community as a great chef, funny guy, bacon lover and self-made man. He's warm-hearted, ex-military, and friend to all.

Today he's the phoenix who has risen from the ashes, but what and who he is today comes after over a decade of eating disorders, physical disability and victimhood.

He says this: "It took me years to muster up the courage to confront my demons and then share them with the world. I know there are hundreds of thousands of people that struggle with body image issues, eating disorders, or just a lack of love for themselves daily and I want to help them."

Today he's telling his story on PaleoCon."

NOTE: many, many people have healed from every manner of eating disorder by healing their gut with and Ancestral nutritional model. "The gut and the brain are always talking to each other. The bad stuff that happens in the gut is immediately reflected in the brain." George's is a very compelling story. Go watch.

• Multiple Sclerosis: A Curable Infectious Disease?

My family didn't begin eating ancestrally because it was 'vogue' or because we wanted to be 'fit and strong' or even because it was purportedly a quick way to drop weight. We began an ancestral lifestyle hopefully to stem the tide of health woes that plagued each of us.

Since doing so, we've very nearly 'cured' all that we were told time and again was not only incurable, but that medicine had no answers for us.

If that doesn't convince anyone to at least consider the merits, I don't know what will.

UH, do you delete blog comments too or did it never post? Anyway, I liked todays talks a lot. I was least impressed with Jaminet because to me it seems its more of a "concession" standpoint to a flawed nutritional system. like "OK people feel they HAVE to have X, fine." but maybe that is not whats best. I prefer the hard-liners if that is what is best!

Ramona! I've been trying to keep up with Paleo Con, too!

I couldn't agree more! My body is not only no longer making antibodies against my thyroid (Hashimoto's is an inflammatory autoimmune disease), but my dose of thyroid has gone down steadily over the last 10 months. emoticon
