Day #7: PaleoCon (Superbowl Sunday: week #1 recap)

Monday, February 03, 2014

So, yesterday (Superbowl Sunday), even PaleoCon rested and focussed on more important thing... like football, LOL!

I have to say, I was just grateful for a day to (almost) catch up with myself. My Divine Miss O's team took the soccer tournament, and her dance preparation for exams is going well.

My wonderful Mr. saved his company from imminent IT disaster and garnered world peace (to hear him tell it, LOL!)

I didn't do much... just held it all together: making three ancestral meals a day, doing laudry, helping Miss O study for a science test, making sure the cats weren't neglected (one is VERY high maintenance), continued my ancestral studies, caught up on my SparkTeams and with SPARKLings, continued to research a new level of ancestrally based eating specifically designed to heal the gut (the Specific Carbohydrate Diet), got pulled into a thread skirmish (why can't people play nice?)... and a bunch of other stuff I've already forgotten.

...and now a new week begins!

Have a great day, and if you're watching at all, tell me what you think!

May today and every day bring to you a ridiculous abundance of whatever you need. May you find peace within and all around you. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith and desire... a desire which even itself issues from God. May all your concerns, struggles, anxieties and fears fall like ashes as you rise on eagle's wings, SOARING above all that would hinder you along this tremendous adventure of being and becoming all you are created to be. May you answer your call and use those gifts that you have received to pass on the love that has been given to you. May the presence of God settle into your bones and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love beyond your wildest imagination. May you be overwhelmed by the grace of God as it simply "overtakes" you moment by moment... rather than being overwhelmed by the cares of life!

Listen to the following talks HERE: paleocon.com/event/
(each set of talks is available for 24 hours)

My favourite moments from last week:

"There is a difference between what is 'common' and what is normal. What we have come to accept as 'normal today is absolutely preposterous."

"Children should not be taken out by Type II Diabetes, autism and obesity. That's a travesty right there."

"The gut and the brain are always talking to each other. The bad stuff that happens in the gut is immediately reflected in the brain. So, you can be incredibly anxious in your brain, because bad things are happening in your tummy." DR. DAN KALISH

"Whether you get symptoms or not, every time you eat wheat you get intestinal permeability. Every. Time."

"You are probably already doing it, as the FDA allows a certain amount of insect matter to be present in most commercial foods: an average of 150 or more insect fragments are allowed per 100 grams of wheat flour, for instance — that’s a lot of bug!"

"There a number of people who either love the Bible, or hate the Bible, but there are very few people who have actually rad the Bible."

LOVE your quotes!! Great stuff here! I did not take any down but I loved most of the weeks talks!

The quote about the Bible is especially true. I am prejudiced AGAINST it because I know how people twist it and use it to promote hate and persecution first hand in my own family. But have I sat down and read it as an adult? Nope. Not since religious schooling as a kid, and what do we really GET then? Something to ponder...
