Super Bowl or super indulge?!

My kids were still out of school on Friday for the 3rd "snow day" or "inclement weather day". Even though the temperature eventually got up to the high 40's on Friday, the morning started out way below freezing and all the side roads were still bad. Most of the school systems were still "playing it safe" after the disaster that some experienced last Tuesday.

DD#2's basketball game was cancelled Friday, so she wanted to run and play some basketball at the rec. center when I got off work. DD#3 already had a friend at the house spending the night, so we all went to the park.

Like I mentioned, it was almost 50 degrees and a really nice day. I dropped DD#3 and friend off at the skate park area and parked by the rec. center. I had run the day before, so I was going to walk the "hilly" trail. It was pretty crowded for a Friday. I think everyone had "cabin fever" at that point.

I was finishing up my first loop (1.6 miles) and was going to do another half loop before getting the girls and then someone started honking their horn at me. It was a lady that I worked with over 6 years ago (we had worked together for 10 years). We live close by, but don't have (or make) an opportunity to get together. We do keep "in touch" through Facebook, but it's probably been 3 years since I've seen her.

I actually "inspired" her to go to Weight Watchers and she also made goal & Lifetimer. She has gained back some weight too, so we commiserated on that for a few minutes and then "caught up". By that time I could see DD#2 coming out of the rec. center, so I walked back to the car and then we picked up DD#3 and friend.

I was so hungry & tired when I got back home, I ate almost an entire Publix organic pizza. These are very small and if I only eat 1/3, it's actually not that many points, but of course I ate more than 1/3. That started out my Super Bowl weekend!

I woke up early Saturday morning because I was supposed to take my oldest sister to the rail station (about 20 mins. away), so she didn't have to leave her car at the airport. She decided to drive anyway, but I'm glad I got up early.

I did some housework before waking up DD#2 for her game @ 12. She had to be there by 11:15. They won the game! So they are the Region JV Champs!

After that we went to Home Depot to pick up some flooring that DH bought (he had too much stuff in his work van, so he needed me to bring it home). We picked up Chick fil A and had to unload the flooring when we got home.

Again I was starving and tired (it was already 3 pm and I hadn't eaten since 7 am). I ate my salad and was still hungry. I don't even remember what I ate the rest of that day, but it wasn't good!

I spent most of Sunday morning working on financial aid for DD#1 (what a pain!). I was going to hike the mountain trail with my middle sister, but she ended up having to work late. So of course, I didn't just go by myself or make one of my girls go with me - I ended up watching "Puppy Bowl" until it was time to go to church!

We got home from church just in time for kick-off. We had made some "healthy snacks" - veggies & dip, spinach dip with pumpernickel bread and turkey tacos (with fresh toppings). Of course I ate too much of it (starving and tired again!). I had a "super" bowl of frozen yogurt, but hey I added a banana and some blueberries, so it wasn't too bad?!

I felt yucky when I went to bed and had a hard time getting to sleep. I know it was from over indulging and eating so late.

I'm really disappointed that I strayed so far off "plan" over the weekend. I let my bad habits of not planning, being tired and mindless eating take over. The weekends are always hard for me because I'm off my "schedule".

I'm back on track with breakfast and my packed lunch. I'm going to walk or run after work today. DD#2 has one more game tomorrow and then I should have some evenings free up and hopefully get back to running.

I'll see what damage I caused with my "super" weekend at my weigh in on Wednesday!
