Week Six: It's A Good Day.

Day 2 on my February goals. I didnít have the healthiest breakfast. I was running late so I brought a banana to work and ate it. I was at work for three hours so when I came home I was very hungry, my stomach was even growling. I will plan better for time for breakfast, normally I do. I was just running late for some odd reason. I did a 30 minute stretching, mobility, flexibility activity today. My back really enjoyed it. I also read an inspirational quote today, posted a funny one about food on my feed/highlight.

I received an email today about the 5% weigh loss challenge. I do have a problem with challenges that require you do to certain exercises. I feel that once you put that into place that it limits people signing up for it. When you have it open as in Day 1 cardio day or strength training or try something you havenít done etc., however when saying a specific activity like kickboxing or bootcamp or Zumba, etc., it will weed out certain people, like me. Since the injury Iím unable to do certain activities and Iím not willing to risk my health for it. I feel bad because my poor buddy will lose out because of me because I will not get the points for those days because of my limitations. This is what I feared. Still, I will cheer her on and do the other things. There isnít any place to put up my efforts so Iíll place them at the bottom of my blogs.

My back was bothering me today however I did take it easy. I did 30 minutes with mobility, flexibility, and stretching. Also, I did 60 minutes of walk away the pounds. I also had a wonderful kale salad with blueberries. It was perfect and a favorite salad of mine.

I made a healthy choice, since I was so hungry and desired food when coming home from work I was going to stop somewhere and pick up food. I honestly donít think it was going to be healthy because I was craving everything. I did want a bit of everythingóeggs with hash browns and toast, waffles, pizza, sandwiches, tacosÖ really it was a little of everything I wanted and just wanted it then. Instead I drove straight home and made an avocado sandwich. Later I had vegetarian nachos (healthy version). Normally, I donít get so wild with being hungry but with all the calories Iím burning I think my mind wondered to food.

1. Making a healthier choice.
2. Calm Sunday (even if it was super bowl).
3. Avocados.
4. A variety of ways to de-stress and calm the body down.
5. A migraine free day and low back pain day. Yesterday was harsh.

    I find I need a little meat (salmon), some grains (1/2 bagel), a little fat (low-fat cream cheese), some veggies (peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes), and some fruit (grapefruit) for breakfast. If I leave out one of those I'm hungry all day long. BTW, I broil the veggies in my toaster oven.
