Day 1 of the Plan went very well and I am happy to report that I am down 0.7 to 141.4 this morning. Last year I lost 0.6 on day 1 so very similar results.
Breakfast was a cup of dandelion tea and flax granola, with coconut milk and blueberries. I have to use frozen blueberries and heat them in the microwave for 1 minute. I am so jealous of my friend who found fresh blueberries (and kale!!)
I did get hungry mid morning but chugged another bottle of water and made some caffeinated tea which helped me make it to lunchtime..
Carrot ginger soup, steamed broccoli with citrus olive oil and green leaf lettuce with apple (couldn't find pear) and pumpkin seeds. I misread the menu and I could have had 1/4 avocado as well..
Lunch was large and I felt quite full but about an hour and a half later I felt hungry again. The afternoon is my "danger zone" but I hung in there and had some more water and a pot of caffeinated tea. Mid afternoon snack was half an apple with 1 teaspoon of almond butter. The almond butter was not on the menu but I know it is ok for me and I felt I could make up for the missed avocado at lunch :)
Dinner was sauteed mushrooms and rainbow chard in the Plan's spicy coco sauce with shredded beet and carrots on the side. Very colorful and oh so yummy!
Today's menu is the same, except I get to add almonds (almond butter?) for real this time to my afternoon snack and 1 cup of brown or basmati rice to dinner.
So far so good today!
