It was another long night with a doggie, this time Shine. A few weeks ago, Holly (14 yo) lost control of her bodily functions, balance, and use of her legs. It was so bad we thought she had a stroke. We never found out for sure what was wrong. The vet treated her for an inner ear infection and possible bacterial intrusion. She was fine within a week's time.

Last night was major deja vu but with Shine ( about 5 yo). It started on her walk. Her back legs kept giving out. She lost control of her bodily functions, use of her back legs, and had no balance by the time we got home. J gave her a warm bath and I treated her topically with essential oils as well as diffusing the oils near her crate. She's not in a crate very often but we put her in last night for her own safety.

I was hoping only to calm her her with the oils so she could sleep but it seemed to help a lot more than I had hoped.

She woke up fine. I don't know what-the-hello-kitty is happening but I'm very thankful they're ok now.

She's very sleepy this morning but by golly, she's walking on her own and she ate and drank this morning. SO grateful.
