What a day.

Sunday, February 02, 2014

I have a 4 hour split in my workday on Sat. I used to drive 20 miles home and take a nap then drive 20 miles back. I have been staying around work and exercising lately. Decided to call DH and see if he would come over and we could do lunch. There is one place that has healthier choices and not bad prices. Well, I only got an hour in at the gym before lunch, which was a black bean vegan lasagna and pretty good too, then we went shopping and I went back to work.

Pulled in the drive at work, the car didn't feel right so I got out and checked around the car. The rear passenger tire was out about 4 inches from the wheel well. Not wanting to drive 20 miles on a tire that may just decide to fall off on slippery snowy roads. Called DH to come and get me, leave it there and have a flatbed pick it up on Mon to have it fixed.

Nope, he asked if there was a GUY that could look at it. Really, I am more mechanically inclined then the maintenance guy or truck driver is. Love them both but they really don't work on those things.

Maintenance not in on Sat. so I asked my driver to check my rear end. Got a chuckle from his response. (he noticed I lost weight) He kicked the tire and said yep, it is not right.

Call DH to get me. Told him to bring my brother. DH is trying to tell me it just looks that way because it is his rim and tire and different rims looks different on different cars. Really? I am totally not buying this story.

Got it jacked up, put my rim and tire on (which loves going flat in this cold weather). No good, still not right. Move the tire. Drats, wheel bearing totally shot. This makes sense, it started howling last week, but typically I have longer before they go out and this one is in really bad condition. AWD so I have to be put on a flatbed truck, so we decided that he would follow me and I would drive it home going 20 mph, did I mention that it doesn't heat up that well? cold long ride home.

Ok call around and they have the part but it is around $100, but DH finds it online for $40. Should we wait? Really? I have to work Monday, he has to go to work (70 miles the other way) to pick up part he ordered online last week for my brother's truck on Monday.

Well earlier this week, I saw that a band was playing at the local bar last night. I wanted to go there on New Year's Eve but he fell asleep early. Got home last night and he decided to play candy crush. are you serious?? and he was wondering why I was upset?

I don't normally drink but last night I did, boy did I ever. I don't drink my calories, but I did. So sorry fuchsia ladies. Good news is I ate well all day and worked out, the damage was very minimal.

Good news, he decided to go and get the part, it is getting fixed today. off to make omlets
