As I sit in bed, looking out the window at the dreary day I am amazed that January has come and gone and February is knocking at the door. It's time to reflect on my progress towards meeting the health goals I set in January.
I realized when I set out to set myself goals ( not resolutions) that they needed to be attainable and so rather than sweeping statements I set mini goals.
Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day
Take at least 10K steps a day
Lose 15 pounds by June
Log what I eat
Well the water goal has been met- I now crave water and my partner razes me as I'm always carrying around may water bottle. I find that without the bottle I don't drink as much as it has a built in straw which makes it easier for me to drink from.
I was able to get more than the 10K steps - except for the two days that I was sick and stayed in bed for a great portion of the day. I have now increased my goal to 12 K steps a day!
Losing fifteen pounds by June.... Well that's the one goal that is not going so well. I lost a few pounds but they found me again! I have to get rid of them for good...
I am logging away! Now to look at the log closely and try to determine why those pounds found me again
. I'm moving to a paper and pencil log as well as using SP. I prefer to see the whole week at once.
So as you can see I'm meeting the goals that I set for myself... Now to review and revamp for February.
