Sit On It..better yet, Don't

Sunday, February 02, 2014

Everyone says that sitting for long periods of time is bad for your health & bad for the shape of your body. Well I found some pictures on pinterest that can get me off my butt. Stuff I cando in the privacy of my own room.

My ex-FIL, used to make jokes about women getting "secretary spread", thats where secretaries would sit at a desk so long that their butt spread out to fill up the chair. Well I ain't never been a secretary but I probably sit more then they do and it shows.

Time to fix that! So Feb will be the month I get my rear in gear. emoticon

I've been doing these for a few months and while they probably do make me stronger and look better from behind, they also increase my pants size. :( Always have. I hate that part.

Sitting can kill you! At least that's what the research says. Good for you for "getting off your butt!"

Those look like great exercises, some more difficult than others.

You know, I was shocked when I realized my butt went edge to edge on our dining room chairs. It feels great to fit into airplane seats again. I have always had a rather flat back side and all the walking I'm doing is giving me some toning. Thanks for the ideas. Maybe after my 30 days abs challenge I will focus on the glutes!
