American sniper chris kyle and chad littlefield were unexpectedly stolen from their families in a trgaic turn of events while both men were "doing what they do".
Both from my small hometown.
Today marks one year anniversary. Bradley Cooper has been making his way around town as they are filming the upcoming movie. Between those two facts...the entire town is in a state of recognition. I know today will be difficult for their families and keep them in our prayers as hopefully they celebrate the lives chris and chad touched today through the pain of what happened.
I also know the shooter and his family.
While I believe soooo many are quick to judge, let us remember that his family is also dealing with the terrible decision he made that day. While I absolutely do not sympathize for him in any way, he has parents, and a sister (that had to report him that day), and they are not only dealing with the community in mourning but have to also deal with the fact that the son they raised, in a normal and loving small town home, relentlessly took the lives of those around him.
Prayers to everyone involved.
Prayers that justice be served and the shooter never have opportunity to kill again.
Prayers that the families continue their campaign in carrying out chris and chads legacies.
Prayers that the town memorialize with grace.
To some its superbowl sunday
To others - its going to be a rough day.
