Irritated at myself

I've had a few stupid days. I say stupid because I've acted stupid. I've eaten things I shouldn't have, including a plate of fried fish and ice cream. Another reason this is so dumb, besides the fattening aspect, is that I had to pay for all of these things. I'm trying to save money and yet here I am, spending it on food I'm regretting? DON'T I KNOW BETTER? Now I'm beating myself up. Also, I spent 50 bucks at the hair salon this week and ended up hating the cut.

Now, Sarah, stop whining and think about the positive things. I joined a gym emoticon and made some new business contacts that could turn out good. Those are two positives. And, tomorrow is a new day.
Tomorrow I stop this trend in it's tracks and go to the gym. I'll eat healthy and try to get some work done that I've been procrastinating.

Also, I'd like to give a shout out to my Spark Friends. It's nice to see you like my status, or write notes on my wall, or respond to my blogs. It makes me smile, so thanks everyone!

    I mess up SO MANY times with food that I have to forgive myself and move on. Each time I try to learn from the experience (cues to avoid, alternative responses, etc.) but I'm never gonna be perfect about my diet. I am, however, convinced that we can do this.

    Don't hate yourself! First, you don't deserve it. Second, you don't deserve it. And third, you'll just end up eating more ice cream and being even more irritated at yourself ;-)

Kudos on joining a new gym, that always gives some momentum: enjoy!

    I have found that when I have days like that, I learn a lot about myself. Don't beat yourself up. EVER. Now you have information on how you were feeling and what led you to eat something unhealthy. Just take that information and learn from it. It's not stupid - it's just a mistake and everybody makes them. I don't think there is anyone that has ever lost weight who hasn't had those days. You have not failed - you have learned a lesson in how to succeed. You can do it! emoticon

    Ditto Lulubelle on thinking you were eating those foods together as one dish. (I'll bet there's a chef somewhere who has made some magical creation like that though.) Tomorrow is another day! Think positive and move past the less than stellar choices.

    At first I read that as you having fried fish and ice cream together. Which does sound kind of stupid. emoticon

We all make bad choices once in a while, and as long as they are only once in a while they will not cause setbacks. So yeah, get your butt to the gym and eat some veggies.

    You are just being human, we all have "stupid days".. I'm not too worried about you though, I just know you will get back on track!

    There you go...get right back up on that hobby horse....think of the fried fish and ice cream as you torch them away at the gym tomorrow! Think of them twice if you have any doubts about GOING to the gym tomorrow!
