We moved mattresses ~ Heather's old one went to the basement, ours went upstairs to Heather, and we picked up our new one from Sears. Also got rid of our two chairs and Adam's weigh bench plus weights plus his punching bag.

I picked the No. 2 Green Malachite ~ I can't believe how true this is for me at this moment in my life:

If you are attracted to this stone, you are (or are about) to go through a major life transformation.
This transformation may be practical, changing the way you live and work, but it also goes much deeper.
It is about spiritual evolution, energy blockages in your mind and body from past experiences being untangled and released.
You are becoming wiser and in the process learning to truly value yourself.
You may find the process unsettling, initially you become more aware of what you don't want, rather than what you do.
That's fine.
First we must acknowledge the need for change, only then can we start to look for alternatives.
Malachite is the stone of prosperity and abundance, when you start to look up, luck and fortune are waiting.
It can signify the end of destructive romantic relationships and the dawn of pure love.
By picking this stone you are unconsciously telling the Universe, 'I am ready for success. I am ready to lose the negativity. I am ready to be passionate about my life'.

But No. 3 Sun Stone is my 2nd choice:
If you are attracted to this stone, you are beginning to feel more optimistic about the future. The power of the sun is energizing your body, enhancing your health and lifting fears and stress.
The sun stone is an omen of good luck and signifies events taking a turn for the better. Imagine waking in the morning and your first emotion is JOY.
Pure Joy because you have breath in your body and people in your life who love you.
Once joy exists at this basic level, you attract more of the same.
You are being given strength to overcome problems.
Watch as magical alternatives appear.
If you've been silently praying for a miracle, this is it.
It is time for your day in the sun.

A year ago today, Cal passed away ~ I sent Mom flowers but they did not arrive yet due to weather. I called her in the morning and again in the evening. I'm sad she had to spend this day alone but it sounds like she made it a great day for herself. Even went to the park to eat dinner and watch the ice float on the Mississippi River.

This Yogea mudra, breathing & meditation practice is derived from the whirling Derwish meditation that guides us into bridging the personal and the universal when tackling self-identity and relationship issues. The practice centers around the way we relate to ourselves, spinning us into a whole new orbit of our relationships with others. Inner scooping of energy resources is balanced by an outpour of love to contain us in our heart center. The Sufi hand placement of sustaining Earth and Sky is augmented by Vedic "Ida & Pingala" (the masculine and feminine energetic pathways in the subtle body) mudra variations to further balance the dynamic of our relationship with ourselves, others, nature and life. The meditation anchors us into a place of self-love so we can truly experience devotion to others. The practice is a celebration of human compatibility as an integral part of the web of creation and manifestation.

Today got a call from Christina saying a lady reported money stolen from her purse while she was at the studio. It is quite impossible for that to happen but as I think about it, there are a few things I should have done, especially with this particular lady. She came waltzing in a few minutes late, dressed in her velour jumpsuit outfit, stating she was on her way to church but had time to practice a little yoga first. I welcomed her to class and helped her get settled with her mat. She did not wear the right clothes, I should have told her it was going to be quite warm Vinyasa flow class. I did ask if she's done yoga before and she poo-poo'd me saying she's been doing yoga for years. Needless to say, she got too hot, and quit early. Before she left, she wanted to pay but realized she didn't have any money. I assured her that was ok & not to worry about it ~ first classes are free anyway. Then she left ~ that's when I realized I had forgotten to lock the door before class started. I really think I should have refused her because of the way she was dressed but I didn't want to pass judgment.

What a fantastic idea- rather than understanding your mood and choosing a corresponding stone.... choose the stone and then correspond your mood to its meaning. I love that!
