Happy February 1!

Happy February 1 everyone! I do hope this month is a great one for you all! This month, I'm going to be concentrating on tracking my food. I haven't been as good this month. I can give all the excuses in the world, but the simple fact is, I slacked off and got lazy. I need to track, it's what keeps me maintaining my weight loss.

As this month rolls around, I think of love. It's the month of love isn't it? There are many people and things that I love. I love my Lord and Savior, my family, my friends, my students, my colleagues. I love my animals, I love my Spark family. But, you know what? There is someone else I love and that's ME! I love myself. I didn't always love myself. I let myself go, I didn't exercise, I filled my body with junk. When I came to the realization that I really did love myself, I started to know that I was better than what I was. I realized that I am important and worth the effort.

You are too! Do what you have to do to be healthy. If it's going on Nutrisystem - do it. If it's having bariatric surgery - do it. If it's just cutting back and exercising more - do it. You are worth it and you deserve it!

    Great post! I think we as women get caught up in taking care of everybody else and we don't show enough love and compassion for ourselves. I agree with you that we need to love ourselves enough to take care of ourselves, and don't feel guilty about it. We are worth it!
