Looking forward to continuing the momentum through February. My motivation is high and don't see it fading anytime soon.
While a lot of things in my life are out of my control right now, how I take care of myself is entirely up to me. I think that is why I am so hell bent on getting my workouts in, if I don't do them it's is all on me, and if I get them in it's because I said I have to do this.
Yesterday I went to the Y (as long as I am check-in at the hotel I get to use the facilities for free) and got some low impact cardio on...30 minutes on the adaptive motion trainer, which was kind of cool, it kind of a cross between an elliptical and a stair climber depending on your stride. I was going to do some strength training but many of the machines I was unfamiliar with and didn't want to use them wrong and risk injury. So it was on to the pool. I am not a big swimmer, I usually tread water and play. But I have always wanted to do a triathlon so I figure it's about time I become a swimmer. My plan was to swim laps for 30 minutes...lol...that so didn't happen, 30 minutes was a bit ambitious. But I did get 15 minutes of non-stop laps in, I used the crawl stroke, its the only one I can do besides the doggy paddle. I see swim lessons in my future. My arms felt like they were going to fall off, so I took that as a good time to stop. And something that is really cool, I burned more calories swimming for 15 minutes that I do running for 15.
So what is the plan for today...I am starting the Spring into Summer Shape Up, whoop whoop!!! I am also heading down to the fitness center and getting my hour of intervals in on the TM while my laundry is in the washer, and then my strength training in while my clothes are in the dryer. I love it when I can multi-task
My baby had to work this morning, but looking forward to going shopping for some furniture when he gets home...if he isn't crabby. He broke a tooth yesterday, so he can be crabby.
I guess it is time for me to get off my butt and get motivated. I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend
