I got a phone call that I hoped and prayed I wouldn't get, but our son went into the ditch earlier today, and we were blessed with an "angel" who stopped to help us get him out. With just our son and I, there's no way we could have gotten him out, but a gentleman who'd stopped his truck and pulled over to the side of the road 4 or so miles back from where he was in the ditch, then pulled out after I went by (I wasn't that close to him, but for some reason he pulled over), stopped after I'd arrived and pulled him out. The roads, though they didn't look icy at all, were very icy..I nearly slipped when I got out of the car to help him. Thank God for the angels in our lives.
I knew God would protect his drive to work, and he did...our son wasn't injured at all, thank Heavens, and though he's still out tonight, I'm sure God will guide him safely home. And a big thank you to Art, the elderly man who stopped and helped him. Without angels like Art..how would we get through life.
I have cleaned a lot more of the basement, but because the other side was so messy, I had to put things on the pool table, which was virtually bare from the cleaning yesterday. I have cleared off the other table, and we bought 4 bins to put the things on the pool table into, so hopefully I can get that cleared off again tomorrow.
Lots of work to do, but boy do I feel like I accomplished something. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and remember...stay safe out there. We're expecting between 6-8" of snow and winds, with the ice already on the road (they don't plow our roads very good), stay safe! And most of all..PRAISE GOD!
These are the flowers she chose for the tables, I'm not using the baby's breath, but I experimented putting the flowers together. I took pictures of all 3 flowers, the wedding color is teal, but the sunflower was her idea, in memory of her grandfather (my Dad) who passed away 2/10/12, and she loved, we all did, because he was a joker and loved to laugh. It was his favorite flower. She's having me make her bridesmaids bouquets with small sunflowers, too.
