On Jan 17, two weeks ago, I did my measurements. I hadn't been doing them real regular and was astonished to discover that I had lost an inch off both my waist and my hips. Today I remeasured not realizing that I had just done it 2 weeks ago. When I went to the page to put in the new amounts I was kinda surprised to see Jan 17 as the date when I had done it last. I was also surprised to see that I had dropped another inch (actually 1.5 inches off my waist) on both my waist and hips again. Wow. Doing all those steps in the basement and at school are finally (finally!) paying off. My current pants are getting looser but I won't be getting any new ones until spring. I have a pair that I bought at a resale shop just before Christmas that are 2 sizes smaller than what I wear currently. I got them out last week to see how close I'm getting. They still don't fit but I am very confident that they will come spring. They are a lovely light green which is a color that I wouldn't normally wear but they are just fun. I have discovered that as I lose this weight and tone up I am a lot more adventurous in my clothing. I have started wearing make-up again most days. That is something I haven't done in 25 years (or longer). Before I had children. I am considering getting a pair of heels and a dress in the spring too. I haven't worn heels since 1998. I know this because I got rid of all my high heels when I left my last full-time job to stay home and take care of my mother before she passed away. 1998. So I have a couple of months to shop around and decide on what I truly want and feel comfortable in. Oh this year is going to be fun.

I have found that 'dressing up' in a nice feminine skirt, medium heels and make up, just what is needed to make this 62 year old widow feel a woman again. More power to your elbow!
