Getting back to the Plan

Since the summer I have relaxed my eating a bit and of course I didn't maintain my weight loss from doing the Plan in the winter and spring. I am up 7 pounds and it is time to get back to basics. Mel (MELTEAGUE) and I are starting tomorrow with the 3 day cleanse and take it from there. It will be interesting to see how it goes this time around and if I react to the same foods. Ok, I know rye and wheat are still a problem... My biggest hurdle is to curb my afternoon nibbles ~ most of the time my meals are on plan but it's the bits in between that get me.

Yesterday I went to the markets and stocked up on what I need for the first few days. I already had plenty of zucchini, chia seeds and a few other things. Kale is not available here but I found some beautiful rainbow chard to use instead. I found fresh ginger :) The health food store had flax seeds again, so I have a batch soaking right now. Here's my grocery haul: Green leaf lettuce, carrots, rainbow chard, avocado, ginger root, beet, onion, apples (no pears to be found), an orange for the citrus dressing, flax seeds, goat cheese, broccoli, coconut milk and dandelion tea.



Today is prep day. I'm making flax granola, another batch of the ginger carrot soup and the spicy coco sauce. Tomorrow is day 1! I am ready to get back to where I was at the beginning of the summer. Thanks Mel for inspiring me to start again!!
