I found this very enlightening. I hope you do, too. What caught my eye first, was a personal rewriting of the Our Father. It made the prayer more meaningful to me. I guess a person gets used to the words and forgets the meaning sometimes. www.explorefaith.org/pra

I have a couple of favourite prayers. Rewriting them is very powerful but so often I come back to the originals. It is a gift to have them in my "toolbox" and easy to use.

We had a pastor that would either make you say the words real slow or would rewrite it. it has really stuck with me. emoticon emoticon

I remember doing an exercise like this in youth group...many, many, many moons ago.

I know that prayer can mean so many things to many people. I do not think there is a right or wrong way to pray..to me it just like having a conversation with a good friend
