Today's SparkCoach writing prompt is to share which motivational techniques work the best for me.

Right now, the techniques that are working well for me are:

1. I use SparkCoach every day, making sure I read through each tab and go through each action step including watching the video of the day, tracking my food and exercise, and doing the community action step. This really helps me stay on the right track.

2. I check out the start page every day, and look at my goal pictures. This really gets my head in the right place and reminds me of my goals. It also helps that I have pics of myself at my goal weight in there.

3. I put on my workout clothes first thing in the a.m., so I've announced my intent to workout.

4. I play a game with myself to meet short term goals that are not scale related. Like each time I work out, I try to go a level higher on on the elliptical or a higher incline or speed on the treadmill. And I pushed myself to have more fitness minutes this month than last month.
