Week Five: Chinese Medicine.
Thursday, January 30, 2014
Today was another bad back day. It went better at massage therapy. She wasn’t able to do a lot but she was able to calm the pain and she put this wonderful Chinese medicine on my back. It felt good, but could have been the combination of massage and the medicine. It’s a nice spray that is all organic. She gave me some in a bottle to take home and use until my appointment at the acupuncturist on Friday. She is the best, always so caring and helpful. She has helped me out so many times it’s been wonderful. For sure I’m going to buy some of this Friday and ask my acupuncturist about other Chinese medicines.
I wasn’t able to go to physical therapy. It wasn’t anything on my part; while I was in massage therapy I missed the call from them. I didn’t know I even had a call from them, since my appointment was just 30 minutes after massage therapy; I went straight to physical therapy. When checking it they told me they canceled my appointment because they wanted to know if this was going to be a Workers Comp case. I was paying my co-pay and it was coming from my insurance so this really surprised me. I get to see my doctor tomorrow and will get it straightened out. I was bummed not to get in my physical therapy however it was good to also have it off since I was able to enjoy my massage. That Chinese medicine was working nicely. I felt good.
At Aqua Zumba I was feeling good at first then it turned quickly, so I took it really slow but didn’t give up. I wasn’t able to do a lot of the moves for 40 minutes. It was all modified. It was like I hit a wall and had to modify all movements and take it very easy. I’m happy I was able to stay the whole time. I didn’t give up.
Good news. My friend told me that people have been telling her that it looks like I've been losing weight.
Plans for tomorrow:
Deep Water Aerobics, and
Doctor’s Appointment for my back.
Five things I'm grateful for:
1. Chinese Medicines.
2. Peanut M&M’s.
3. Marvel Agents of Shield.
4. Jasmine Tea.
5. A warm home to come to.
