Mixed bag diet/lifestyle

For a few weeks I have been doing the Paleo Diet in conjunction with SP. I eat Paleo-style but count calories with SP and use all of their other tools. I'm also a contributor of a forum where we are all on the same diet and talking about what works and what doesn't for us and basically just helping each other through this weight loss journey. So far I've lost 5 lbs. Yesterday I started incorporating exercise with the diet and I'm already feeling much better. I made a concerted effort last night to try and get 8 hrs of sleep. I woke up at 7.5 hrs. GOOD ENOUGH! I felt refreshed and rested. I think my husband liked that I fixed him breakfast before he went to work this morning.
I also decided that each 5 lbs lost that I would treat myself to a little something, something. I'm a girlie girl at times and decided I was going to buy myself that blush that I've been looking at. I also decided to paint my nails.
That there is OPI's Nein! Nein! Nein! Ok Fine!
We have been invited to a Super Bowl party. It is all of our close friends. Unfortunately, there will be tons of not so good for you food there. Wonderfully, we are all foodies and love to whip out new recipes on each other. Soooo..I'll be sharing two Paleo dishes with them. I'm hoping they enjoy it and if not...at least I know what I can eat and know I've stayed on plan. I am somewhat nervous about this and have been feverishly planning and checking calories and so forth. I guess that's a good thing. I'm not too interested in falling off the bandwagon just yet. (Hopefully Never Again!)
Tonight's dinner was Baked Artichoke Chicken. It's a Mario Batalli recipe from the show The Chew. It was really good ya'll! I added it to the sparkpeople recipe database so go check it out. It was super moist and to my glad tidings...NO ONE COMPLAINED AT THE TABLE!!
Here's to another day closer to my goal!
Keep On....Keeping On
