Back to the deep freeze...

Tuesday, January 28, 2014

OK, so not as bad as in the midwest, nor nor as scary as what the south is dealing with (snow with no equipment to clean it off in many places), but doesn't mean I have to be happy with these teens for temps or wind chill close to zero! At least it appears this is a short lived event, with temps back in the 40's over the weekend.

Its hard to believe were not very far away from a time people got cold in October and they're world did not warm up until MAY. No central heating. Very poor insulation. Just the same I think you should take 95 to Key West. Stop by and pick me up.

The winter of my discontent!!! In eastern Ky, today the high is struggling to reach 15.
The night will see temps again fall below zero, and hopefully, as the weather man suggests, we will see 20s and 30s and even 40s by Thursday.
I dont care if it rains, I am going walking everyday it reaches above 30.
That is, if there is no high wind.
I cannot tolerate the wind, it has become my mortal enemy!!
My walking shoes have collected dust long enough.

The weather across north America has been crazy this winter. Hope it straightens out soon.

Single digits for a couple of days with no snow is doable. The cold is worse to the north and the snow is to the south so at least we lucked out this time.
