Marion Paproski (THERE I SAID IT)

Monday, January 27, 2014

Its funny how at least in my experience things I cannot EASILY change and that I thought I had forgotten about and dealt with in the past can comeback and bite me in the rear end. Lets just say its too bad I didn't have a time machine to go back to 1976 when a girl I went to junior high and elementary decided to go to the public high school but came to MY high school to see ME as she was interested in me but I flubbed it up.I was SO BUSY trying to find a missing bus pass and being stressed out over being in a new school that was NOT across the back alley from my parents house . I AM SUCH A PILLOCK!!! SIGH. I thought she was out of my league. BIGGER SIGH . Yeah I was thinner THEN. MOAN . I MISS YOU SO MUCH MARION!!!!

I know you meant well and I appreciate what you said but I am not sure it makes me feel any better about it.

It wasn't until just last year at age 60 that I found out a girl I had a crush on in high school had a similar crush on me. I now tell my boys to go for it -- the worst she can say is "No" and while it is disappointing, it's better to get a "No" than to miss a chance at a "yes".

And I only found out about a missed "yes" 43 years later. (That's ok I am married to the best "yes" I ever found.)

Unrequited love. I had guys tell me when we were grown that they had a crush on me but never said anything. I told them they should have said something, I would have went out with them. LOL.
