Cassie and I Celebrate 1 year

Monday, January 27, 2014

Today I have had Cassie for one year. I didn't really expect I would have another dog at that point. I had lost my Venture early in December and was interested in eventually finding a certain type of dog -- one with a certain temperament. My friend I called who I knew studied bloodlines a lot and not only the conformation, but the temperament and working ability had a little girl who needed a place to go where she could be loved and give love.

Cassie has really been wonderful to have around. She loves to be with her person and loves people in general. She even likes Orzo, my cat, even though he did attack her when she came home and a few times after. Now they get along fine.

Today, Cassie got dental chews and treats. This morning she had part of my egg. I think she is enjoying her time here.

emoticon on having Cassie for a year now! So, that makes it a birthday of sorts for both of you! I've never hear of a dog and a cat getting along, let alone live in the same home! God just picked out the right companions for all three of you!

Be blessed,

- Nancy Jean -

I understand what you're talking about .... when our first Pyr, Gandalf, passed away, we waited 9 months before getting our 2nd Pyr, Bismarck. When he died, we let 2 years go by before bringing home our current puppy, Cisco (photos of both on my page).

dH and I have no interest in showing for conformation and although we completed basic & intermediate classes with our first 2, I'm thinking of trying to get Cisco an AKC Obedience title.

I'm glad Cassie is fitting in with your cat, Orzo. Cisco & our cat, Casanova, are still working things out ... LoL

Your Cassie sounds very loving and loved .... good for you!
