CAKEMAKERMOM has been posting pictures of everything she eats. I really enjoy seeing how she constructs her food day. Much of it looks yummy and delicious, yet it's not my kind of food.
My friends and I often talk about our food: eating and cooking. My friend Ashley really encouraged me to eat foods without a lot of additives and chemicals. Anna makes a lot of vegetable-heavy meals, which is always inspiring.
However, I eat the way I want to eat. I love my staples and the food I make. Even as I make changes to those staples (e.g., green smoothies, chia seeds). It's mind-blowing to me on the most basic level how personal our food choices are. No two people eat exactly the same. I have a new co-worker who eats homemade sauerkraut for breakfast.
Anna adopted one of my favorite breakfasts: scrambled eggs with spinach. But you know, she made it when I was visiting her a couple of weekends ago and it didn't taste exactly like how I make it. And I know of no one who eats eggs with rice like I do (which I picked up from an ex-boyfriend a million years ago). (So I guess maybe he eats eggs with rice, but thankfully I'm not privy to that information any more, LOL!)
I'm just enjoying the idea of how personal our diets really are. Everyday mysteries, or something.
Do you like the way you eat? Are you happy with your diet?
