Music = Minutes

Have you ever heard a song you love and turned the music way up? It's amazing how music can set our mood. When I exercise I usually pick and choose different music to listen to. At first it was some of my favorites but they were mostly too slow and I didn't get a great workout. So today (Jan 25th) I typed in "pumped up" on my phone found a good youtube track and plugged in my headphones. I usually have a tendency to check my time after about 10 minutes of exercise. Today i looked down and 30 minutes had passed! and 300 calories burned so far! Maybe 300 isn't a lot for some but for me it's usually what I burn after an hour. Sometimes when I work out I think "ugh is it over yet?" but with great heart pumping music I found myself saying "you are awesome! You are doing great! Not only can you do this, you ARE doing this." And it felt great!
