Whew.

After a mysterious two pound GAIN, I'm happy to say the scale was back down those two pounds this week. Only those two pounds, but I'll take it. Now perhaps my body is back in cooperation mode. I really think the gain was a freakout over added exercise, plus hormones. Now I've had a chance to get used to the increased exercise minutes so yay!

I'm still giving myself stickers on a physical calendar for every day I exercise and it's oddly motivating. I feel like I'm in kindergarten all over again, but it's kinda nice. :)

I had an active weekend. I ran 3+ miles on Saturday and went to a HIIT class on Sunday. Holy crap I was sore after that HIIT class! Still am, in fact. So this morning I did 15 minutes on the rower, 15 minutes on the elliptical, and close to 30 minutes just stretching and foam rolling to work out some kinks. I'm still sore, but it's the good kind of sore I guess. :)

I also convinced J to let me make fried rice instead of ordering it from the local place. I thought for sure he'd hate it as it's not nearly as unhealthy as what he's used to. But I did add tons of soy sauce so it's not exactly the healthiest meal of all time. Still, it's better than fried on top of fried. And he liked it! Success! Of course he also wanted meat to go with it, which he cooked, which set off the smoke detectors and freaked the everloving crap out of the cats. :( And in the process of running around trying to get the smoke detectors to shut up (they're all wired together so one goes off, FIVE go off), I ran around the corner of the kitchen in my socks, totally slid and bit it, and now have MASSSSSSSIVE bruises on my elbows. How I managed to land elbow-first is a mystery. Also, planks are OUT for awhile.

Ouch that must have been sore. Glad you are back on track, and whatever method works for you is what you must use. I have a year calender on my wall right at my PC so anytime I look up I can see instantly what I've done for the week, whether it be boot camp, ministry, work...you name it, its on there. I only started that last year and now I wonder how I ever managed without it.
